You are motivated to position and enable IKEA/Ingka as a thought leader and progressive/responsible actor in retail and people and planet topics. You understand the impact of policy and regulatory on business, and can foresee risks and opportunities. You know the impact of macro trends, geopolitical events, sustainability movements, and risks and opportunities on our IKEA business and our People and Planet agenda. You should be passionate about establishing and maintaining external relations and networks with leaders and influencers, great at stakeholder management and engagement, and able to connect people, ideas, and perspectives in a way that helps us to develop and drive our business.

Further, you have a thorough knowledge of how to lead strategic advocacy, communication, and stakeholder engagement by defining, planning, executing, and following-up with relevant stakeholders and influencers. Our key topics drive our purpose in Better Homes, Better Lives, Better Planet, and Better Company, including retail and business growth, life at home/home furnishing, people and planet, ESG, digital and AI, and future of work.

What you need:

• Experience working in Public Affairs, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and/ or strategic communications
• Experience in working with strategic analysis and planning, engagement plans, and external communication on key business and sustainability topics
• Proven experience in working with and advising senior, influential, global leaders, internally and externally
• Proven experience in working with and influencing regulatory affairs and policy
What you'll be doing day to day
As a Public Affairs Leader, you are developing and leading public affairs strategies and initiatives that amplify and enable our thought-leadership and actions on key business, people, and planet topics. Further, you will engage and collaborate with stakeholders and partners (internally and externally) to enable Ingka Group to reach its business objectives, by influencing and reacting to movements, policies and regulation.

Some of your tasks will be to:

• Provide advocacy and leadership on Public Affairs topics on a global level with relevant Ingka stakeholders (internally and externally)
• Lead Public Affairs strategy and plans on key assigned topics
• Provide advice to senior internal stakeholders on relevant geopolitical trends, monitoring and keeping up to date on relevant regulatory and non-regulatory
developments both globally and in collaboration with Ingka countries.
• Build and maintain partnerships and stakeholder networks, representing and advocating for Ingka Group in appropriate external and internal forums in line with our
values and our advocacy principles
• Develop, support, and actively participate in the Ingka global Public Affairs network to enable and support our markets.
• Coach and brief spokespeople across Ingka Group, ensuring they have the right support to communicate with impact and the appropriate narratives and messaging to
support our topics.

This is a permanent role in Malmö (Sweden) where we work the majority of our time from our vibrant Global Head office, Hubhult. IKEA is supporting international relocation for the role.
